Breyer Horse Holiday: 2016 Artist Ornament

One of the more recent additions to the Breyer Holiday collection, has quickly become one that is eagerly anticipated by collectors, the Artist Ornament. This beautiful ornament showcases the impressive gamut of artisans that help Breyer create the most incredible horses in the world.

For 2016, Breyer has chosen the artist Sheryl Leisure to celebrate with her astonishing artwork decorating each side of this beautiful ornament. Sheryl has designed many horses over the years for Breyer, and is well known among hobbyists and has been for decades! As a staple of the model horse community, Sheryl’s contributions to the hobby go beyond her artwork and is also known for creating the West Coast Model Horse Jamboree, which essentially was Breyerfest for those west of the Mississippi for years!

Now, Sheryl has been immortalized on a beautiful glass globe ornament, The 2016 Artist Ornament, each side featuring her incredible art work. Each side features a stunning representation of a well known pony from the Breyer stable. On one side, a sorrel Welsh pony and on the other a grey hunter pony, each showing the incredible talent of one of Breyer’s most beloved artists!

Breyer Horse New Releases: BHR Bryant’s Jake

Gentle Giant can describe any of the many draft breeds that have come to be known for their gentle disposition and their large size. These beloved beauties come in all colors and vary as much as you can imagine. Breyer brings a colorful gentle giant into Golden Oak Stables for fall 2016!

BHR Bryant’s Jake is a stunning American Spotted Draft that ushers in his arrival with an entrance as large as he is! This breed is a relatively new one, but a beloved one none the less. The American Spotted Draft Horse has been a recognized breed in the United States since 1990, and in that short time has garnered millions of fans the world over. These draft horses are used for everything from farm work to pleasure and come in just about any color you can imagine! Their bold, spotted coats give them their namesake and are unique as each horse is!

BHR Bryant’s Jake is a chestnut sorrel with a stunning white pattern that is intricate and beautiful. This beautiful pattern translate beautifully to his model, where it has been intricately recreated as only Breyer can do! His bold white patches are a stark contrast to his deep and coppery chestnut coat, making him all the more beautiful with each glance.

Breyer Horse Holiday: Carousel Ornament Tartan

Heralding the coming of the holiday season, Breyer’s holiday collection is full of fanciful fun that will bring even the most casual of collectors joy!

Each year, the holiday collection is adorned with a myriad of beautiful horses that each are special and unique in their own special way. This year, tartan is not only the theme for the amazing Holiday Horse, but also for the beloved Carousel ornament!

For over a decade, the Carousel Ornament has been a key component in the Breyer Holiday Collection. Each year a special carousel horse is designed and given the honor of being hung from thousands of trees.

This year’s horse is a silver bay beauty that fancifully prances across the tree. His flowing mane and tail are adorned with heraldry in the form of ribbons and bows. A tartan saddle cloth is draped over his back and pine cones accent the decoration in the most beautiful of ways!

Breyer Horse Holiday: American Pharoah

From the history books comes an ornament that has beauty, elegance and history all wrapped up into one stunning Breyer package!

Golden Oak Stables has welcomed American Pharoah in many forms. The Triple Crown winner has already made collectors hearts flutter with a Traditional series model, a Classic Scale and a Stablemate scale model and a stunning resin, all commemorating his amazing history making win of the 2015 Triple Crown! This is no feat to take for granted, and Breyer has gone to every effort to make this horse one that will live on for generations to come.

You can celebrate the holidays with a special ornament that commemorates this history making event! As all Breyers are known for, the American Pharoah Ornament starts off with a beautiful sculpture of the beloved Thoroughbred American Pharoah. Shown in a victorious stride after crossing the finish line, his jockey reaches up in excited victory!  American Pharoah’s silks have been lovingly painted in his stable colors giving him the stunning details we all know Breyer so well for!

Breyer Horse Holidays: Beautiful Breeds Ornament 2016

Each year, Breyer chooses a breed to showcase int he holiday collection’s Beautiful Breed Ornament series. These fantastic ornaments are sculpted by beloved equine artists and bring a beauty unlike no other to the holiday season. Collectors adore these ornaments for their intricate designs and their attention to the details that make the breed special!

Golden Oak Stables welcomes the 2016 Beautiful Breeds Ornament and it’s stunning breed the Gypsy Vanner. Heralding from the British Isles, the Gypsy Vanner is a carriage breed that comes in a beautiful package. With the shape and feathering of a draft horse, they are a bit fanciful in their conformation. Their long manes and tales add to their fanciful look and have made them a popular breed all over the world.The breed comes in many unique colors, but most will recognize the black and white pinto that so many come in.

The 2016 Beautiful Breeds Ornament is showcased in that signature black and white pinto and has been expertly sculpted by collector favorite, Sommer Prosser! His luxurious mane and tail are ever present and a red bow gives him a touch of holiday spirit. He stands proud and alert, with his head held high and his eyes focused, all beautiful traits of this breed.
