Breyer Horse New Releases: Banks Vanilla

2016 is proving to be an exciting year at Golden Oak Stables. With so many new horses collectors are clamoring to add new models to their collections! One of the most exciting parts of 2016 is just how many new molds are coming out, including one that has already caused much excitement!

Banks Vanilla is a stunning grey Connemara pony that is a champion time and time again. This stunning snow white pony was bred in Denmark and is the grand daughter of one of the most famous champion Connemara ponies, Oxenholme Marble. With numerous in hand championships as well as championships at England’s biggest shows, Banks Vanilla is a wonderful example of the breed to say the least!

Breyer’s rendition of Banks Vanilla is done in beautiful likeness on a new mold sculpted by the beloved hobby sculptor Sarah Minkiewicz. This is Sarah’s first ever Breyer release, something collectors have been hoping for! As the first wide release of her sculpture, collectors have been anxious and excited to get their hands on a copy, and now you can! This stunning and firey horse is full of the life Sarah’s sculptures are known for!

Make a little room on your shelf for this exciting new pony that has taken both the real and model horse world by storm already!

Breyer Horse New Releases: Traditional Truck And Trailer

Taking your horses places can open up the world for a horse and rider. Going to competitions, trail rides and to new barns opens up a world of experiences that couldn’t ever happen at your horses’ home. With a truck and trailer for your Breyers, your imagination can run wild taking them to so many places!

The Breyer Traditional Truck and Trailer are made in striking likeness to a real Dually pick up truck and two horse trailer. Anyone who’s seen the real thing will see the similarities right away, and those who haven’t can get a hands on feel, in miniature! Painted in a bold new color scheme for 2016, the truck and trailer are two essential pieces to your Breyer collection that will get your collection going places!

Breyer Horse New Relases: Stablemate Horse And Foals

One of the fun parts about collecting Stablemates is how many you can collect, and how fun that collection can quickly become! With four new sets of horses and foals, your stablemate collection can explode with eight new horses, or it can be the perfect start to your collection!

Golden Oak Stables knows that Stablemates are fun for all collectors and what could be more fun than sets of foals with their parents? These fun sets bring both the adorableness of a new foal and the beauty of  perfectly painted miniature 1:32 scale horses together. Each set has been painted in exacting detail and feature beautiful sculptures that Breyer is well known for.

Four sets make up the 2016 Horse and Foals sets. The first is a striking leopard appaloosa mare and foal with chestnut undertones. They are bold and striking as they are featured in a full gallop! A grey Paso Fino mare and her grey foal come next and bring a bit of Latin flare to the collection. A bay Quarter Horse and his laying foal in a similar shade of bay come next. With delicate markings and soft shading they are beautiful as can be. Last comes a grey Saddlebred and a bright chestnut foal. This sweet set will brighten up any stable!

Real Life Breyer Horses: American Pharoah- A New Champion

By now, almost every horse fan has heard of American Pharoah and it’s hard to find someone who isn’t a fan. After doing the impossible, winning not only the Triple Crown but also the Grand Slam of Horse Racing, he’s found fans among millions and is a household name all over the world.

This weekend American Pharoah was honored with yet more honors, at The Eclipse Awards. These year end awards are the pinnacle of horse racing accomplishments and honor outstanding horses, jockeys, owners and trainers each year. To no one’s surprise, American Pharoah took the cake. His owners, Zayat Stables won Outstanding Owner and Outstanding Breeder of the year, and his trainer Bob Baffert won Outstanding Trainer. That wasn’t where American Pharoah was stopping, he brought home the two biggest awards of the night, Champion Three Year Old and American Horse of The Year!

These awards cement American Pharoah forever into horse racing history and along with that, he has been cemented into Breyer history with a myriad of models made after him! An unprecedented five models make up the American Pharoah Collection, a Traditional model, a Classic Scale model, a stunning resin, an ornament as well as a Stablemate scale model. Never before has a horse been honored in so many ways in the Breyer stable, and Golden Oak Stables brings them all to you!

Breyer Horse Accessories: Western and English Winner’s Circle Sets

Finding your way to the winner’s circle is an accomplishment for any rider and horse. That brief moment can shape careers and make memories that last a lifetime. With new new fun sets, you can have amazing moments of your own in the winner’s circle and let the champions of your own stable shine!

Golden Oak Stables welcomes both the Western and English Winner’s Circle Sets to the 2016 lineup. Each of these sets is sized to fit Traditional Breyer models and is full of realistic accessories that can go from winner’s circle, to tack room and beyond!

The Western Winner’s Circle Set starts off with a beautiful purple blanket with World Champion emblazoned across it. A silver plated halter is second in the set and reminiscent of the halters given to champions each year. A bright blue first place rosette can be placed on his halter and then can find it’s way to his stall in the stable, and a winner’s trophy shines in it’s silver glory. Breyer Horse New Releases: Horse Of The Year Harper

Classics are the second largest size in the Breyer stable and are fun to collect for collectors young and old.  These horses stand approximately 6 inches tall and are just as collectible as their traditional counterparts. For the past three years, Breyer has released a new classic mold as the Horse Of The Year, and adding to the fourth in the series, Harper will be arriving at Golden Oak Stables soon!

Sculpted by the ever talented Sommer Prosser, Harper is an exciting new sculpture that has collectors anxiously awaiting her arrival. This spunky paint mare is alert and bright eyed as she scampers along. Her perked ears give her a bright and focused expression and her fun pose makes display ideas endless!

Harper has a bold dark bay and white tobiano pattern that is flashy and beautiful all in one. Her long mane and tail are sculpted flowing and free. She could be a myriad of different breeds from a pony cross, to a more delicate paint horse and more!

Harper will only be available for 2016 and is a limited edition. This first release of an exciting new sculpture is sure to be popular and is already garnering attention wherever she is mentioned! Breyer Horse New Releases: Rhapsody In Black

Five years ago, collectors clamored for a new Arabian mare model sculpted by one of the hobby’s most favorite sculptors Brigitte Eberl. The Weather Girl model was popular as can be and brought collectors from all over excitement! Her release was special though, after her initial release, the model would be put away for five years in the Breyer Vault, and wouldn’t be used until then. Now, five years is up and Weather Girl is joining the Breyer collection for anxious fans everywhere as Rhapsody in Black!

An amazing mare is headed into Golden Oak Stables, Rhapsody in Black! This amazing mare has not only a pedigree and offspring that show her immense talent but also huge wins for her outstanding conformation. This striking black mare has produced a champion in the Egyptian Breeder Challenge three years in a row and has been the leading dam at the Egyptian Event twice!

Her stunning black coat looks beautiful on the beloved Weather Girl model. With her mane and tail flying high and a soft expression to her face, she’s ever the proud and feminine Arabian mare so many will recognize. Her one white sock and tiny star give her black coat a touch of an accent in perfect resemblance to the real Rhapsody.

Just one of the new exciting models for 2016, Rhapsody in Black is exactly the Arabian mare collectors have been waiting for five years to add to their stables!

Breyer Horse Collecting: What’s In Store For 2016?

We are just a few days into the new year but already Breyer collectors are abuzz with excitement and anticipation for the latest models! But, before you launch into your 2016 collecting, taking a few moments to plan can help you have your best Breyer year ever!

No matter how many new horses came into your collection this year, looking over your collection, organizing and making a list will help you have a good idea of what you would like to add to it. Sometimes collections can get overwhelming and many other times, we can forget everything that we have, so a beginning of the year inventory will help you streamline your collecting and know what pieces you may want to add to your collection to keep it complete.

The beginning of the year is also a good time to decide on projects and events for the year. Setting goals will help you keep track of them, and will put you on the road to getting it accomplished. Whether it is customizing your first model horse or attending Breyerfest, a little planning will help you achieve your goal!
