Collectors of all types will find patterns that their collections fall into without even trying. Favorite colors, breeds, molds, and models will all find a way to collect in any collection. It’s just the natural nature of things! But, not that there’s a new scale in town, taking a look at what you collect, and what you could collect, is a good idea!
The staple of any Breyer collection is the Traditional scale. These models are the first, and most popular of the Breyer stable, and probably most recognizable. Standing approximately nine inches tall, these models have been in creation for over sixty years and there are thousands of different models to collect!
Next in size, comes the Classics. These lovely little models stand approximately six inches tall, and came to the Breyer world in the mid seventies! In that time there have been many different sculptures added to the collection, and dozens of different breeds!
Corral Pals are the next, and the newest scale that has galloped into Golden Oak Stables! Standing approximately five inches tall, these incredible little horses are packed with detail and realism! There are already dozens of different breeds that are represented, so starting now will get you well on your way to collecting these stunning horses!
Stablemates are some of the smallest in the Breyer stable, standing approximately four inches tall at the tip of their ears. Also released in the mid seventies along with the Classics, these horses are some of the most collectible and beloved!
Last, but certainly not least are the tiny Mini Whinnies that stand approximately one inch tall! The smallest in the stable are still packed with details and are so much fun to collect and display!
What is your collection filled with? A lot of one scale or a little bit of everything? The best part of collecting is there is no “wrong” way to collect!
