May 28, 2015

The British breeds are coming and ready to hit US soil! Breyer and Golden Oak Stables are excited to bring a group of new British breeds to collectors all over the world that showcase the unique and beautiful breeds that live in the British Isles!

Great Britain is unique for many reasons, the culture, the people and of course, the horses. Almost any horse lover can recognize at least a few British breeds, the Gypsy Vanner, the Clydesdale and the Shetland are all popular horses all over the world, but the breeds that span the British Isles are unique as they are beautiful.

The Connemara Pony is a breed that comes from Ireland, specifically in the western region. This little pony has a mighty following that is a favorite both in Great Britain and in the United States as a mount. Commonly used in pony club or for English riding, the Connemara pony is a mighty little pony and Ireland’s only truly native breed. You’ll be hard pressed to attend a pony hunter club show and not see a few Connemara ponies lighting up the ring with their strength, precision and kind nature.

Breyer’s new Connemara Pony shows off the breed with a mid-air jumping pose that is exciting to say the least! His bold, dapple buckskin coat is stunning and intricate and his sweet face brings a light to this incredible breed!

Bring home a little pony with a big spirit with the new Connemara Pony, and you can learn a little bit more about the British Isles along the way!
